Dr. Laura Loli-Dano, a Native Albanian, CCC, RCC, Integrative Therapist, is the Founder of LAURA & HERMES LIFE SERVICES.
Dr. Laura Loli-Dano brings over 30 years of working with individuals, couples, families and communities in the Health/Mental Health – Social Services – Teaching Fields pursued originally in Albania, Greece, The United Kingdom, and most significantly in her other Home, Canada.
Her early teen years’ passion for becoming a Civil Engineer who could help build solid housing for people in need, took her to pursuing a lifetime journey of striving to help people build life wellness and life happiness. Most importantly getting back on their feet, as the starting point, if that is what life brings their way.
A true believer in the Albanian Saying: “Children are the Light of Parents’ Eyes” which serves as an inspirational motto for creating optimal life conditions for the youngest society members’ advancement in life. Most solid little bricks, in building bright humanistic futures, in any society, are placed in close collaboration with other humanistic colleagues, which LAURA & HERMES LIFE SERVICES is always in pursuit of.
She has trainings in several schools of psychotherapy and been teaching for over 27 years, at the college and university level, in countries as Albania, Greece and Canada. Her main academic and clinical training is on: Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Dialectical-Behavoiural Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and others. These schools of thought have large applicability at the micro, mezzo and macro levels of practice.
Additionally, Dr. Laura Loli-Dano, has led health and mental health services, the latter, in academic health sciences settings, in Canada. Focus has been on promoting human rights-based health systems, and increased quality of care. She is a Technical Reviewer with the World Health Organization in the area of promoting people with disabilities rights, based on the United Nations Convention of the Rights of People with Disabilities.
